Jacob Meister: Future Senator or SPAWN OF SATAN?

posted by Liam Reed at 5:19 pm.

If you follow Illinois politics at all you have heard of Jacob Meister. Our good friend Jacob is running to represent Illinois in the U.S. Senate. He’s a democrat and does all those crazy liberal things (health care? pish! what’s that?!) but to top it all off he’s a HOMOSEXUAL. This, for the U.S. Senate, is out of the ordinary

A good friend of mine, Louis Ward (aka the LGBT Outreach Director at UIUC) sent me a link to a blog written for plainfieldtoday.com. This blog is interesting because even though the author admits that Meister’s politics are pretty spot-on with what he believes, there’s one thing that really gets his goat: Jacob Meister likes the cock.

This man is GAY

From the blog on plainfieldtoday.com:

That kills it for me and most likely anyone else who is an American, and practices a God based faith, or simply has common sense to know that you’ve got it ass-backward. Being a homosexual is the polar opposite of pro-creation, so it is in conflict with the US Constitution, because instead of protecting our Posterity, (future generations), a person who promotes gay behavior is openly attacking America’s future. To be actively promoting a gay lifestyle is therefore treason. There is no way to carry two flags, one red, white and blue and the other a rainbow. Man cannot serve two masters. Simply put, if you’re waving around a Gay Flag you are promoting treason and telling people its okay to sin against God and America. Using the public office to campaign for homo behavior is in conflict with morality and it assaults our prosperity – which without pro-creation, our prosperity is threatened. Those involved in and promoting Abortion and Gay Activity are committing treason by attacking our Prosperity, which is protected by our US Constitution.

Does this guy work for Uganda? The author goes by the penname toddsdonald. It doesn’t sound very Ugandan (Ugandanese?) to me, but you never know these days. After all, there is a recession and people are taking jobs wherever they can find ‘em.

I find it so depressing that so many people think this way. Being gay is treason? Fuck, I need to move to Austria where they just legalized gay civil unions.

I understand that people are allowed to think whatever they want, even if what they believe contradicts facts and science. I understand that they can, but I don’t understand why they do. I am so tempted to just move away from this nation. It’s not that this country doesn’t provide a lot of great things (e.g. Snuggies) but it’s just so packed full of crazies that it’s not even worth the trouble. I mean, shipping a box full of Snuggies to Austria can’t cost that much, can it?

If you want to take some of your homework/finals frustration out on someone, be sure to check out the link to toddsdonald’s post and leave him a comment about his brilliance. If you want to learn more about Meister, check out his Facebook page here or contact Louis Ward here: louis.ward@meisterforsenate.com.

Death to the Homosexual

posted by Liam Reed at 11:17 am.

I know you’ve heard about this. I know you think it’s horrible. Do something about it.

From an email I received:

Please forward…
In case you haven’t seen this on the news…

Recently, Uganda has begun the process of outlawing homosexuality. This bill is called The Anti-Homosexuality Bill. What does this mean?
Gays and lesbians convicted of having gay sex would be sentenced, at minimum, to life in prison;
People who test positive for HIV may be executed;
Anyone who knows of homosexual activity taking place but does not report it would risk up to three years in prison.
These are just a few components of the effort that is being dubbed “gay genocide” or a modern day “witch hunt” in like manner of the Salem Witch Trials. For a more detailed article about this terribly disturbing situation, please click here.

Sweden, Canada, and Britain promptly vowed to withhold all monetary aid to Uganda if this bill becomes law. Will the U.S. do the same? U.S. politicians having ties to “The Family,” a group that has had pivotal influence on this bill’s success thus far include Sen. Tom Coburn, Rep. Bart Stupak, Rep. Joe Pitts. Religious leaders such as Rick Warren also have ties to “The Family.”

What can you do?

“Please write letters to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton demanding a hold on Uganda’s PEPFAR funding until strict human-rights, privacy, and free-speech controls can be imposed upon all PEPFAR aid. PEPFAR aid must not be given to sectarian religious interests, especially those with violent and inhumane intentions.

Please THANK Rep. Tammy Baldwin for her support and urge her office to continue fighting against The Anti-Homosexuality Bill 2009 by e-mailing Amber Shipley:

Amber.Shipley @ mail.house.gov

Please THANK Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen for her support via phone call or letter and urge her to continue using her position in the U.S. House Committee on Foreign Affairs to hold Uganda accountable.

do u want 2 c2c???

posted by Liam Reed at 12:22 pm.

Because I’m an LAS major, a good portion of my finals are actually research papers or critiques of other research papers. Because I’m an LAS major, I am not stuck with writing about maths or sciences (unless it’s physics, bleh!), but I can choose topics that actually interest me. Because I’m an LAS major, nearly every paper I have written this semester has been about the queers. Because I’m an LAS major, the last paper I am writing for a History of Technology class is really, in fact, about masturbation.

You and I have chatted about camming before. Remember that site cam4 with all the streaming webcams of people showing their goodies? Well, as it turns out, people have actually done research on these communities. The author of the article I am critiquing believes, essentially, that cam2cam sex is something that many people become addicted to, and that it has the potential for ruining relationships.

I am in the process of emailing a few specific correspondents about their opinions on cam2cam sex, but since some of them are not getting back to me all that quickly, I’d like to just dive in and ask what your opinions on a few things are.

First, many people think of pornography as a way of keeping sex alive in their own relationship. After all, “praying cow” gets boring if you do it every week for 18 years. Some turn to pornography as a couple, others turn to it for their own solitary enjoyment. Now, let’s take the solitary man, let’s call him Harold, and give him a webcam. Suddenly he’s not watching Corbin Fisher’s Owen get fucked by Dastardly Dan, but instead he’s talking to a human being from the other side of the world. They get to know each other a little bit (if they want), they strip, when the human being tells Harold to bend over and show his ass, Harold merely winks at the camera and takes a bow. Harold’s porn has become interactive, yet ultimately he is still alone in his bedroom and performing what must appear to be a weird form of calisthenics. So, is he cheating on his wife, Bertha? Or is he merely fulfilling a void that the praying cow just can’t fill?

What if all he is doing is talking to someone from Iceland? No webcams are involved, they do not even know what they look like, but a few times a week they have conversations that are hours upon hours long, much more interesting than any conversation he has had lately with Bertha. They don’t talk about sex at all, but politics, religion, whether or not they are on Team Jacob, those sorts of things. Once again, here we have Harold fulfilling a void in his relationship. Is this pornography for the mind?

At what point does it become cheating? It is cheating when Harold is masturbating and showing his shoes to the guy who really digs feet watching his cam? Does it come when he creates an emotional attachment? Is it cheating at all? Is this something that can actually be used to fulfill those small voids in a relationship that are bound to appear? Does feeding these holes (god, sorry about the terminology) with pornography make them bigger? Is it better to leave the voids unattended in order to preserve a relationship?

I’m reading a book called Lust in Translation, a book written about how infidelity is viewed among the nations of the world. Some nations see infidelity as an atrocious sin (yet commit it regardless) while others see it as a fact of life. If webcam sex is actually cheating, is it necessarily a bad thing? Infidelity is something incredibly prevalent among humans (I have the statistics to back it up, but I figure you don’t want to be bored by those), so is it possible that online relationships are a way to preserve something as close to monogamy as possible? Or is the way of the French the future, where cheating barely deserves a slap on the wrist?

Is Harold masturbating alone in his room or isn’t he?

Gays on Ice

posted by Liam Reed at 8:37 pm.

This one time I saw a Disney on Ice performance at the United Center and on the way home I threw up my slushie, not into the novelty cup that it came with, but rather onto my friend’s parents’ car.

Go to Gays on Ice. It’ll be fun. AND FREE.
