Only hours after Barack Obama was inaugurated as the 44th President of the good ‘ol U S of A, the stock market freaked out and made the proverbial move to the suburbs. The NASDAQ is down about 70, the NYSE 255, and the Dow Jones Industrial 261, as of 1:50 this afternoon.
It would seem that our long national nightmare continues, even after it ended.
Jim Cramer, host of MSNBC’s Mad Money with Jim Cramer and general meth fueled rage-a-holic went on The Today Show and basically said that any dough you’re gonna need in the next five years, it better not be in the stock market.
If this guy is making a point to provide calm, apparently well thought out advice, we may be in bigger trouble than anyone realizes. Remember, this is the same Cramer who is usually known for stuff like this.
On the plus side, the shoebox industry figures to improve as more and more Americans take money out of the stock market and slide it under their beds.
