Lacking Sex…Say Yes to Sex Music

posted by Stephanie at 9:17 am.

It may seem weird to some that I am saying anything about sex music on my Livin’ it up Healthy blog but you all would be amazed as to how relevant it really is. Why beat around the bush or talk as if we don’t all know what sex is? We know how it is to want something and not be able to have it. I know how to redirect that feeling, that want, that desire into something beneficial to you, exercising.

The music itself is not what I would call healthy, but it does contribute to the energy level of people when exercising, I can bare witness to that. A lot of people aim to lose weight, why not hear it from someone who has lost 20 plus pounds already, and going for more.

Being sexually frustrated is wonderful for a great workout. Taking the energy and built up hormones that you are waiting to relieve in the bedroom are perfect to release in the gym. This is when you do cardio at your best, time will pass and you will be ready for another go round, all while listening to that great sex music, wishing you were somewhere at that moment doing other things. Or, maybe you are sexually frustrated but don’t want to “get it on.” Either way, exercising helps when that feeling comes back, leaner, fitter, sleeker, and toner.

Take that frustration, and pop in some R Kelly, and I don’t mean “I Believe I can Fly,” either. Let’s try songs like Get Up on a Room, Half on a Baby, Down Low, In the Kitchen, 12 Play, Bump-N-Grind, The Greatest Sex, and above all, the best song by R Kelly to workout to is The Zoo

There are of course many other artists that make great sex music to workout to such as Aaron Hall, Case, Jodeci, and many more. Just try it a couple of times, and if that doesn’t work for you, trust me every week I will post information that you can utilize for a great workout and weight loss.

As stated in the last post, I said I will post my current weight starting this week, and work towards more weight loss using the same information that I am giving to you….Drum Roll Please…..Started at 245, currently weigh 229.

Say No to Diets, Say Yes to Change

posted by Stephanie at 11:35 am.

So many people go on diets, lose weight and when the diet is over they gain the weight back. The reason for this is because diets are not aimed to keep the weight off, they are geared towards the present appearance only. In order for anyone to maintain their weight reduction, they would need to change their eating habits all in all.

How many times have people heard others tell them to change their eating habits? More than they can count more than likely. However, how many times has that comment been followed up by, “but you don’t have to stop eating the foods you love?”

If we eat in moderation and watch our calorie and fat intake, losing weight would be as easy as 1,2,3. Our largest and highest calorie meal is supposed to be breakfast. The reason for this is so that your body can tell itself that it needs to burn this amount of calories all day. Eating more calories and a larger meal at breakfast allows the smaller calorie intake and smaller meals and snacks to burn with ease throughout the day.

So, you can still eat many of the foods you enjoy digesting on a daily, but less of them. Instead of scarfing down fast food all day, eat a snack in between. However, if that fast food is a must have, eat a third of it. Stomachs are not big, they are quite small may I add. So when you eat and eat you are stretching them thus making our bodies believe it is still hungry. If you eat less continuously, then you will not have to feel as though you are suffering because you still feel hungry because your stomach will shrink and your body will be satisfied, as well as you.

Change takes time, and time is what we need to give ourselves and our bodies. This is a process that needs to be taken seriously with commitment. Therefore, to be your weight loss buddy, I will post on here my starting weight, current weight and my weight loss every Friday, staring June 12, 2009. Never feel like you are alone in this process, because there is always someone who is willing to buddy up and take this journey with you.

While our weight loss journey begins, weekly posts will be added to my blog to guide you through great ways to lose weight and keep it off.

Tip: Pent up hormones are great for the gym; take that aggression out on the weights and do some cardio. You will be done with your 30 to 45 minutes before you know it, and ready for more.

Good Luck,
Mysti
