The Sound of Arrows - Into the Clouds (Music video) from The Sound of Arrows on Vimeo.

The guys from The Sound of Arrows moved over to the UK sometime this year and have been focusing on their new release “Into The Clouds”. The result is something that’s got me moving like their old tune “Danger”. The awesome video above was directed by the band themselves. great visuals come hand in hand with this group.

Big up for atmospheric pop!

Recap: The Sound of Arrows @ Debaser Medis

posted by Justin at 5:19 pm.

It was a great night in Stockholm on Jan 30. The Sound of Arrows filled the hall and crowd at Debaser with a heavy handful of youth, joy, balloons, and synths bursting with bright colors. The usual, you know? It ruled. It was such a great ending to a day in Stockholm. The Sound of Arrows produce some of the most hopeful music I’ve heard. Even when trying to warn you that “the world is a dangerous place but you won’t admit it”, it sounds awe-inspiring. What filled the hall at Debaser brought that awesome satisfaction over everyone. The one when you know you are in the right place on the right night, surrounded with friends, and blinded by lights as music blasts your way.

Stefan Storm and Oskar Gullstrand played keyboards and sang behind a wall of brilliant visuals with cool blues and purples. The night was one full of bright synth-strings topped with eerily cool vocals. The group debuted their new single “M.A.G.I.C.” Friday night to much applause. Unfortunately, The Sound of Arrows debut album has been postponed until September, but it will be here sooner than you think.

The Sound of Arrows

posted by Justin at 12:33 pm.

Not surprisingly, The Sound of Arrows lists their hometown on Myspace as ‘Pop Heaven’, Sweeden. I ran across one of the duo’s songs this summer and I immediately liked it. I would listen to their song ‘Danger!’ anytime I took the bus or went for a bike ride along the lake. So while currently sitting in class looking for a band to blog about, I remembered these dudes. You immediately get a feeling of the music’s prominence from the opening of the single. I always get a weird chill during those first few lines of vocals: ‘Danger/there is danger out tonight’. The tone and slight eeriness you catch really makes your mind stop for a second. Then the song goes on to build triumphantly toward the end. It is almost like Sufjan meets Jens Lekman meets The Presets, if that makes any sense.

Their Danger! EP is out now on Labrador in Sweeden and on Popfrenzy in Australia and New Zealand. You can purchase it at Labrador.se and includes over forty minutes of original material and remixes.
