I know it’s not Wednesday, but it’s almost 4am here in Norway and I thought I should post some remixes since I haven’t done a remix feature in a while.

The Golden Filter’s remix of Little Boots is by far the best thing I came across. Keeping their own slow tempo, sequenced-synth sound and slowing down the track, The Golden Filter has made something interesting; especially at the midpoint change with the piano. Cool stuff. I am in love with the intro to SebastiAn’s Kills remix, and his build halfway through is stellar. Aeroplane is still on a role since the ‘Paris’ remix. They played in Oslo last night, but unfortunately I am currently too poor to afford 150kr- would’ve been an awesome show. The Belgian guys remix Norway’s own Lindstrøm. And Miami Horror’s rework of an oldie, “Fa Fa Fa”, rounds off this weeks remix feature.

Here’s some remixes since it is Wednesday. The A-trak remix of ‘Bounce’ is awesome. I never particularly liked the original track, but all the remixes are really solid. Secondly, a shout out to Bgebs and her love of the Virgins and the Twelves. I posted a Treasure Fingers song a couple Wednesdays back but this is a new rework by Chromeo, which do you like better? Herve seriously never disappoints. I need to check more out about Kidda. And finally there’s another G.L.O.V.E.S. remix for those of you who can’t get enough since the ‘Changes’ tune. I also got word I will be attending the Hercules and Love Affair show next Friday the 17th in Chicago. See you guys there.

Felix Cartal’s remix of ‘Bounce’ is out. Personally I dig the Mansion rework I posted last Wednesday a lot more, but you decide. Definitely check out the Riton remix of Hercules and Love Affair and always listen to anything put out by Alan Braxe. There’s some exiting stuff coming soon. I have some interviews lined up, a review of the Cut Copy/Presets show tonight at the Metro, and have been contacted by Muse Records to do some promotional work for their upcoming Chicago shows. Stay tuned.

I promised I would post these yesterday, but I got tied up with stuff. So we can make Wednesday the remix day. I’ll try to post a handful of tracks I’m into, every Wednesday, right here. Tell me what you think, what you’re favorites are, or what you hate. This week I am really digging the Boys Noize ‘Lights and Music’ remix. I am a little behind on this one - its been around for awhile, but definitely check it out. Also the Justice remix of ‘Electric Feel’ is out in full glory now. The horns and Fx make the track. Watch for the breakdown at the end. And if there’s any other Cut Copy fans in the house, the ‘Far Away’ remix is great, but it’s kind of a rip-off of what Boys Noize did.
