Ladies and gents, it’s here. The highly anticipated follow-up EP by young UK producer Louis La Roche. ‘Me and Her’ is a 4 course meal of what Louis has been up to. Moving to a bigger and more club-worthy sound, Brett Ewels shows what he is capable of. With more instruments, more filters, and a talk box on hand, this guy is just getting started. After hearing snippets of ‘Sunshine Hotel’ in various mixtapes and on Radio 1, I was most excited to hear the complete track- and it’s great, but what gave me the biggest surprise is number three, ‘Distant Lovers’. There is a lot of cool things happening inside this track. The talk box works great and really gives Ewels’ track somewhere to go. It is also great to hear ‘Be Brave’ re-mastered.
Louis is playing Nuke Them All in London this month (18/4/2009) and is headed for Studio B in Brooklyn, New York the 16th of May. Also, check out the new louislaroche.com.
