This movie’s not coming out for awhile, but this preview blew me away when I first saw it in the summer. Turns out that Watchmen is one of the most acclaimed graphic novels every made, and yet the majority of people had never even heard of it before the preview came out. Knowing nothing about graphic novels, I took a week off in the summer from work because I was “sick”, and experienced the power of Watchmen. It’s unlike any superhero story you’ve ever seen or heard, mainly because the majority of the characters possess no powers at all, but are just vigilantes. Super awesome vigilantes. The story centers around the mystery of the death of a vigilante by the name of the Comedian which occurs within the first few panels. Besides the sheer beauty of each scene, the story makes so many twists and turns that ends in direct comparison of the times. Try to get your hands on a copy before it hits theaters in March, and let’s just hope the film is able to pack the same intensity as its predecessor.
