Think you have what it takes to be a WPGU DJ? Prove it!

Register now for WPGU’s “Be the DJ” contest, brought to you by the Illini Apple Center. All you have to do is compile an iTunes playlist with your favorite summer-themed tunes. Sounds simple so far, right. Email your iTunes playlist or published iMix to bethedj@wpgu.com!

You can also print out your iTunes playlist and drop it off at the WPGU studio at 512 East Green Street. Then, WPGU’s music staff will pick the best summer-themed iTunes playlist and give one lucky winner their very own 1-hour DJ shift to rule the WPGU airwaves! Plus, WPGU will send the winner home with a brand-new iPod shuffle, compliments of the Illini Apple Center. Deadline for entry is Friday, June 20th at 11:59pm, so enter today! Official Contest Rules:
Entry Deadline: Friday, June 20 @ midnight.
Only entries collected via email (bethedj@wpgu.com), the217.com, or in the WPGU studio are eligible. Only one submission per person. Playlists must be summer-themed. Employees of Illini Media and Illini Apple Center are not eligible to win. Winner will be picked by WPGU music department. The winner’s airshift will be Friday, June 27 at 4pm. The Guest DJ winner will be guided by Matt Brown, longtime WPGU DJ and host of “All request rush hour.”
