How are you GREEN?

posted by Christina Campos at 2:50 pm.

Thanks to all of you who came out and recycled their techno trash for the “Go Green on Green St. block party.” It was a successful event and we could not have done it without you!

Here are some fun ways to be green that people shared with us at the block party………..

• Compost biodegradable foods (egg shells, fruits, &veggies) and use them as fertilizer for your garden

• Turn off water when you shave your legs

• Canvas totes while you grocery shop

• MTD!

• Turn off lights in dorm, shower rooms, and trash rooms

• Reuse wrapping paper or wrap in newspaper (funnies are the best!)

• Buy products with less packaging

• Power strip (all goes off)

• Use reusable water bottles and bring your own coffee mug to shops

• Crush cans, milk cartons, and recycle them

• Buy local products

• Energy saving light bulbs

• Reuse your cooking oil

• Bike and walk!

ENJOY and have an awesome GREEN summer!
