Nicol Bolas, the main planeswalker (interdimensional mage), in Magic: The Gathering has been revealed as a card in the new expansion, Conflux, which comes out in three weeks, according to MTGSalvation.com.

    Planeswalker - Bolas

    +3: Destroy target noncreature permanent.
-2: Gain control of target creature.
-9: Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker deals 7 damage to target player. That player discards seven cards, then sacrifices seven permanents.

That may seem like weird gobbeldygook to non-players, but suffice to say this is a great card. Hard to play in the game, but well worth it once it’s cast. What I like is this card reflects Magic history. See, back in the day, Nicol Bolas looked like this - a cartoonish dragon.

But now he looks like this:

Yeah, he’s the giant dragon. The Magic legacy, to me, is what makes the game cool - like a newer comic universe full of limitless potential. With this card, not only will the game be a little more fun, but we see the evolution of the game over the last 15 years.

Hey Matt…
Don’t forget to tell everyone about the pre-release and launch parties we are having. The drafts and all around good times will be awesome.
