From the cover, it’s hard to tell what this issue is about, and like the old adage states, you shouldn’t pay attention. But of course, you do, and seeing the blood soaked heart, one thinks that violence is heading Huey’s way.
If only. What follows is quite possibly one of the grossest moments in comics I can recall, next to Ennis’ other character from Preacher who literally f***s himself.
I found myself laughing out loud, something that rarely happens, when the “oh s%&$ moment” occurred, and for something so crude, brilliant, and original to take place proves that this series is one of the most fun series out there. Sure, nothing else happened really in this issue, other than some aside character development, but I’m willing to wait to see where the series is going.
