Love the shoot, hate the hair.

I don’t think I need to have better handwriting because I type everything, but I guess this would encourage me to make more greeting cards, since it’s been a month or two since I have.
Update: Wow, there’s a billion of them! I think I might buy “Teach Yourself Art History.” I’m not sure if they’re good, but the covers are beautiful.

Zomg! My brother went on vacation and bought me a new UglyDoll! Its name is Domo, it’s poo brown and I love it, even though I won’t get it for a week.
Thanks, Steve!!

Many of Hearst’s magazines are participating in a special $6.99 subscription offer. A full year of Esquire (!) Popular Mechanics, Harper’s BAZAAR, Marie Claire and a half year of Cosmopolitan are up for grabs. I already subscribe to Esquire and about 8 magazines…but what’s one or two more? For less than $7 — two issues at newsstand prices! — its definitely worth the pocket change.

I’ve had an itch to go thrifting since I had to go back and re-bookmark some of my favorite fashion blogs, so I pushed the nagging “column-journ midterm-to do list” thoughts aside, gave in, and got some cute things:
This statue is almost frightening in a Wisconsin Dells tourist trap kind of way, but something feels so childish and “ice cream parlor” about it that I couldn’t pass it up:

This bizarre ceramic rope owl is so much better than my clear plastic piggy bank:

Baubles!

And a southwestern bowl to keep all of the jewelry on my desk in:

Then, I snuck into Sam’s Club for lunch. My boyfriend and I almost got kicked out…but then he saved the day! Hot dogs, pizza, lemonade, salad, soft pretzels and cheese and ice cream — definitely worth an attempt to weasel your way in.
Picked up this sweet vase at Furniture Lounge today. Part of my room is finally starting to look like a poo brown time warp, and I love every second of it.

The blog is about to get a lot more beautiful.
