In a post I made yesterday about American Apparel and how they reblogged something I wrote, there was the following comment from Lisa, who works at the company:
“It would be too meta to blog about this post but maybe you could blog about how much Tri-Blend means to you and we’ll see what happens :)”
See what happens? Talk about my love for Tri-blend and Acid Washed Deep V’s — my favorite t-shirts in the world — and potentially get some? Um, DONE. That’s like offering a 400 pound man unlimited McDonald’s gift cards or a nerdzoid a sack of arcade tokens.
When I was in Israel, I hiked up mountains in my grey one.

I also ate falafel and pretended like I had friends in my green one.

In Chicago, I went vintage shopping in my black one.

In Champaign, I went bowling in my indigo one.

And in California, I lounged around The Getty in my blue one.

Who knows what I could do in future in one of the new colors (zomg, they’re so beautiful) of the acid washed Deep V’s? Go bike riding in kelly green? Hit the beach in red? Camp out under the stars in purple? Go for a run in lapis? Play frisbee in brown? Ditch class in navy?
The idea of draping my body in acid wash very day of the week makes me more excited than the time I discovered those $1 ice cream cones at the corner store next to Canopy. And that my friends was one of the best days EVER.
I may or may not be a size small….
Carlye Wisel: if sarah silverman, stacy london, buster bluth and ari gold had a love child, it would be me.
