It looks like the warmer temperatures this weekend thawed out not only Champaign-Urbana, but the release schedule as well.

For Consoles

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin | PS3 | 360
Picking up where the original F.E.A.R. left off, you must fight against Alma’s forces as special forces operator, Michael Becket in this horror/shooter title.

House of the Dead: Overkill | Wii
Mow down waves of brain-gobbling zombies as you attempt to survive and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead.

Onechanbara | 360 | Wii
Legions of zombies are terrorizing the city, and, for some reason, only a super-hot vixen in a string bikini and a cowboy hat can slaughter the undead to save us all. Personally, I’d feel safer armed with a shotgun than a samurai sword but, hey, to each his own.

Deadly Creatures | Wii
Take on the vast, dangerous world of the desert from the perspective of two deadly critters with a history of giving even the most stalwart people the creeps: the scorpion and the tarantula.

Sonic’s Ultimate Sega Genesis Collection | PS3 | 360
Take a trip to down memory lane and play some titles from the good ole days of gaming, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Columns, Ecco the Dolphin and four titles from the Phantasy Star.

X-Blades | PS3 | 360
A hack n’ slash adventure title, in X-Blades, the heroine Ayumi must fend off innumerable monsters and imposing bosses with her power, spells, fighting tactics and her deadly Pistol Blades.

NASCAR Kart Racing | Wii
Kind of the kiddy version of NASCAR, instead of high performance racers, you get to drive… karts. Don’t get me wrong, kart racing is fun and all, but I’ll stick with Mario (and I don’t mean Andretti).

New on WiiWare

LIT (800 Wii Points)
In this horror/puzzle game, dark creatures have taken over Jake’s high school, and it’s up to you to guide him through each classroom in order to be reunited with his girlfriend Rachael. Existing light sources must be used to create bridges of light for Jake to cross. One false step and Jake gets pulled into the darkness.

For Handhelds

LocoRoco 2 | PSP
Armed with a deadly song that kills all living things, the evil Moja army have returned to enslave the LocoRoco! Help the LocoRoco bring life and music back to their planet.

Retro Game Challenge | Nintendo DS
Thrown back in time to the 1980’s, you are turned into a young boy and forced to play video games by an evil self-proclaimed “Game Master” who tests you by forcing you to play fictional retro video games.

Phineas and Ferb DS | Nintendo DS
Based on the Disney cartoon, join Phineas Flynn and stepbrother Ferb Fletcher as they set out to conquer boredom during their summer vacation.

USA Today’s Puzzle Craze | Nintendo DS
Tackle a variety of puzzles created by USA Today’s puzzle crafters, including Hidato, Up and Down Words, Quick-Cross, and Word Roundup.

My DoItAll | Nintendo DS
My DoItAll is a toy chest jam-packed with mini-games and mini-tools. Stay close with friends by exchanging Friend Cards, use the Voice Changer and Sound Effects machine, become a whiz with its amazing reference tools, and even create your own, unique miniature you.

Nikki Blight: is still trying to find that damn princess... when she's not writing fresh code for the217.com.
