Breaking news on the Wii front. Harmonix officially confirmed a release date for this summer for the upcoming version of Rock Band on Nintendo Wii. The Special Edition bundle will retail for $169.99 and will include the game, drums, microphone, and wireless guitar. Instruments will also be able to be purchased on their own on the same date.
The Wii version will contain 63 songs including 5 bonus songs, but it is not clear whether or not downloadable content will be available on the Wii as it is for the PS3 and 360 versions. Release is scheduled for June 22. Pre-orders don’t seem to be open anywhere yet, but I’ll keep looking. Hit up Kotaku for the full press release.
